Day 19 - More Beauty
Today we had more lectures from Mark, I had a worship practice with all the musicians/worship leaders and a beautiful night at the house.
It's so incredible being with such a diverse group of people - especially leaders. And its quite difficult leading a worship team made up of Brazilians, Americans and Polish people who come from vastly different church and worship backgrounds. Its very stretching and challenging. I have to lead in a different way... Mostly I have to lead by becoming a student willing to learn new ways (which is core to good leadership). We are trying to do music in different languagues with unconventional instruments and a hodgepodge of equipment. It's a great experience!
Mark spoke more on Malta today, the principle that its more blessed to give than receive in leadership and he spoke on competency and giving leadership away where its appropriate.
Finally our beautiful night consisted of God doing an amazing thing with Joy and I. Can I just ask you to thank God for that 'thing'? :) Thank you for your prayers! They are being answered!
And the night ended with a nice dinner with our housemates out on the deck.
