Day 20 - The surf was great today!

Mark spoke today about their ministry at the rainbow gathering which is a annual pagan meeting that occurs in a national park. WOW! They are going this June. If you wanna go maybe I can hook you up with it.

He continued to speak on how and how not to give away ministry/leadership. And he taught that ministeries have to be willing to give away leaders... be a 'sending' ministry. They will be blessed in the process. Thank you Lord for Chapel Hill!

Finally he talked about what kind of people you want on your team based on a study of why Paul chose Timothy. They should have a sincere faith, knowledge of the scripture, faithful (with whats in front of them), submitted to authority, willing to committ, lay down their rights and sacrfice for the gospel or the unity of the church(acts 16:3 HA!!!), positive, available, real or honest and teachable. Thank you Lord for our volunteer staff at Chapel Hill!

Then we went to a meeting at David and Jodi's house! That was tough and challenging but good. David is good at being tough and challenging. :) Joy was able to get a little surfing in at their place.

Finally we did another training in theophostic prayer.

Tomorrow, seeking God day!

Hey Peter, I am just going to write to prove that I have been keeping up with you and I can figure this out. I must admit it is the only blog I have ever looked at. Things are going along but I agree with your dad, the kids miss you lots... I am excited to have you back and share your excitement and all that you have learned. Laurie

Looking over the list of leadership characteristics is daunting. I wish I knew the scriptures better.
